DeltaMath Bot — What One Actually Does

A solver handles one problem. A bot handles an assignment. That difference sounds like scale and is actually a difference in kind, because the moment a tool is working through a whole set unattended, the thing that determines whether it succeeds stops being whether it can do the maths. This page is about what full-session automation on DeltaMath actually involves, what separates a bot that works from one that gets its user a conversation with their teacher, and where the honest limits are.

Bot Versus Solver Versus Hack

These three words get used interchangeably in search results and they describe genuinely different things. Sorting them out first saves installing the wrong category of tool.

Solver

Answers the one problem in front of you, usually showing working. You stay at the keyboard and drive. Covered on the solver page.

Bot

Works through the assignment on its own — reads, answers, submits, advances. You are not required to be watching. This page.

Hack

Usually means an exploit that reveals answers or edits a grade. Mostly mythology; the hack page covers what is real and what is not.

If your problem is “I do not understand question 4,” you want a solver. If your problem is “I have forty problems due at midnight and I already know this material,” you want a bot. They are not competing products; they solve different complaints.

What Full-Session Automation Involves

Working an assignment unattended is a loop, and every step in it is somewhere a badly built bot falls over.

Read the rendered problem

Not a stored copy — the actual problem on your screen, including the graph, the diagram and the variable definitions, because your version is unique to you.

Work out the answer

Ordinary mathematics, but across every problem type DeltaMath assigns, which is a much wider surface than any single module guide.

Enter it in DeltaMath's format

Reduced fractions, exact radicals, interval notation, the fraction template, the radical button. A right answer in the wrong format scores zero.

Submit and advance

Then handle whatever comes next — including the extra problems DeltaMath adds when an answer was wrong.

Decide the pace

How long to wait before the next one, and how much that wait should vary. This step is the one that separates tools that work from tools that get noticed.

Steps one to four are engineering. Step five is judgement, and it is the reason the accuracy and timing controls exist rather than being hidden defaults.

Why Accuracy Is the Easy Half

There is a natural assumption that the hard part of a DeltaMath bot is the mathematics. It is not, and it has not been for a while. Solving a randomised quadratic or reading a slope off a plotted line is well within reach of current tooling.

The hard part is that DeltaMath does not only record whether you were right. It records the shape of the session — how long each problem took, how the timings varied, when you worked, how your accuracy moved across the set.

A bot that answers every problem correctly, instantly, at a perfectly regular interval has solved the maths problem completely and the actual problem not at all. It has produced a transcript that no human being has ever generated.

This is why the meaningful question to ask about any DeltaMath bot is not “can it answer?” — nearly all of them can — but “can I tell it how to answer?”

The Two Controls That Matter

Everything above reduces to two settings. A tool that has both can produce a session that resembles ordinary work. A tool with neither produces a flawless, instant run regardless of how good its answers are.

There is a second-order point about accuracy worth making. Deliberately missing problems on DeltaMath is not free: a wrong answer extends the assignment, because the platform adds problems until you demonstrate the skill. So the accuracy setting is a genuine trade-off, not a costless bit of camouflage, and a sensible bot has to handle the extra problems its own misses generate.

What No DeltaMath Bot Can Do

Worth stating plainly, because a lot of what is advertised in this space is not achievable by anything running in a browser.

  • It cannot change a grade. Grades live on DeltaMath’s servers. A browser extension can fill in an answer box; it cannot rewrite a stored score.
  • It cannot un-submit an answer. Once a response is sent, it is recorded — including the wrong ones.
  • It cannot see problems you have not opened. There is no queue to read ahead in; the next problem is generated as you arrive at it.
  • It cannot hide that time passed. Timestamps are server-side. A tool can control the pace it works at, not rewrite when the work happened.
  • It cannot make a perfect run look ordinary. That is what the accuracy control is for, and it only works if you actually use it.

Anything claiming otherwise — instant completion with a guaranteed 100%, grade editing, retroactive fixes — is describing something that does not exist. The hack page goes through those claims individually.

How Delta Genie Is Being Built

Delta Genie is the DeltaMath bot from GenieCheats, currently pre-release. It is built around the argument on this page: read the rendered assignment rather than consult a stored answer bank, because randomisation makes a bank useless; and expose the pacing controls rather than burying them, because pacing is what actually decides the outcome.

It runs as a browser extension on the page you are already signed into, works the problem types across the courses DeltaMath assigns, enters answers using the platform's own maths input, and lets you set both a target accuracy below 100% and a variable delay between answers.

DeltaMath Bot — FAQ

What is the difference between a DeltaMath bot and a solver?

A solver answers the single problem you are looking at, usually with working shown, while you stay at the keyboard. A bot works through a whole assignment on its own — reading, answering, submitting and advancing without you driving it.

Can a DeltaMath bot change my grade?

No. Grades are stored on DeltaMath's servers, and a browser extension only has access to the page in your browser. It can fill in answer boxes; it cannot edit a score that has already been recorded.

Why would I want a bot to get answers wrong on purpose?

Because a perfect score every week is the clearest possible signal that something other than a student is answering. An accuracy setting below 100% produces a record that resembles ordinary work. The trade-off is that wrong answers extend the assignment.

Do DeltaMath bots work on every problem type?

Coverage varies by tool and is the main thing worth checking. Graph-reading, word problems and drag-and-drop proofs are much harder to automate than straightforward algebra, and a tool that handles equations may do nothing useful on a proof.

Is a DeltaMath answer bot the same as an answer key?

No, and the difference is the whole reason bots exist. A key is a stored list of answers, which cannot work when every student gets different randomised numbers. A bot solves your specific version at the time you open it.
