Membean Bot Reddit: Every Auto-Answer Bot People Recommend, Compared

A Membean bot is a program that does your training session for you. Reddit has recommended a dozen over the years. Here is how each kind works, which ones are still maintained, and what separates a bot that gets you through the semester from one that gets you a flag.

Share:
The short version

The Membean bots Reddit links to fall into four kinds: GitHub scripts, Tampermonkey userscripts, Discord-distributed bots and Chrome extensions. Only the maintained Chrome extensions are still working and still recommended in 2026; the rest answer instantly and identically, and break when Membean updates. MemGenie is the extension the threads name: free highlights daily, Auto-Solve on Ultimate, with accuracy from 60 to 100% and a 5 to 15 second pause before each answer.

  • A bot that reads Membean’s page code breaks on the next update; one that reads the screen does not.
  • The feature that matters most is pacing: a bot without an answer delay is a flag generator.
  • Quiz support is the second filter. Most free bots only touch training sessions.
  • MemGenie installs from the Chrome Web Store in under a minute, no files to run.

What a Membean bot actually is

Strip away the names and every Membean bot does three jobs: it reads the question, it decides the answer, and it enters it. The differences Reddit argues about come from how each job is done.

Reading the question

Older bots parse Membean’s HTML. Newer ones read what is rendered on screen. The second kind survives updates; the first does not.

Deciding the answer

Some bots look the word up, some use a model, some just pick the choice that matched last time. Accuracy and speed differ enormously.

Entering it

Clicking instantly is easy. Typing a spelling answer key by key with pauses is the part most free bots skip, and the part Membean notices.

When a thread says a bot “got patched”, it almost always means the first job broke. When it says someone “got flagged”, it means the third job was done badly.

The Membean bots Reddit keeps pointing to

The specific repos and server names change every few months, so rather than list links that will be dead by the time you read this, here are the four kinds that come up, summarised from the threads. Reddit’s live search for “membean bot” has the current crop.

  • GitHub scripts (Python, Selenium, Node). You clone a repo, install dependencies and run it against a browser it controls. Powerful when it works, fragile the moment Membean changes a class name, and almost always answering at machine speed. Most repos have an open issue titled some version of “not working anymore”.
  • Tampermonkey / Greasemonkey userscripts. One click to install, runs inside your own tab. Easier to keep alive than a full bot because most only highlight. The ones that also click tend to click instantly.
  • Discord bots and “DM me” sellers. A recurring warning in the threads rather than a recommendation. You are asked to hand over your Membean login or pay someone you cannot identify. Treat these as the scam category.
  • Chrome extensions. Installed from the Chrome Web Store, updated by the developer, and in the good cases reading the screen instead of the code. This is the only kind the 2026 threads still recommend, and MemGenie is the one they name.

Free is the first word in most Reddit replies and the last word in most of the follow-ups. A bot that costs nothing and gets you flagged, or stops working in week three, is the expensive option.

What to look for in a Membean bot, according to the threads

Read enough “which bot should I use” threads and the good replies converge on the same checklist:

  • It reads the screen, not the code. That is the difference between a tool that lasts the year and a tool that lasts until Membean’s next deploy.
  • It lets you set a delay. Membean knows how long you took. A bot that cannot wait is a bot that cannot blend in.
  • It lets you miss on purpose. A student who is suddenly perfect every night is the easiest pattern to spot in a class report.
  • It types. Spelling questions typed in one paste look like a paste. Key by key with variation looks like a person.
  • It covers quizzes. Training minutes are the chore; quiz grades are what hits the gradebook.
  • Someone maintains it. Check when it was last updated. A repo with no commits since last spring is a repo that does not work.

MemGenie: the Membean bot that passes the checklist

MemGenie is a Chrome extension, so there is nothing to run and nothing to clone. It reads the question from your screen and highlights the correct choice as it loads, free, a set number of times every day. Ultimate turns it into a full bot:

1

Install and sign in

Add MemGenie from the Chrome Web Store. Works on Chrome, Edge and Brave. No card for the free plan.

2

Set accuracy and timing

Pick an accuracy from 60% to 100% and a 5, 10 or 15 second pause before each answer. These are the two settings every Reddit checklist asks for.

3

Turn on Auto-Solve

Start your session and MemGenie answers, types spelling answers key by key, misses the number of questions you told it to, and moves on. Quizzes show the verified answer on hover.

The MemGenie page has the controls in detail, and the Membean hack Reddit roundup covers the non-bot tricks the threads mention.

Will a Membean bot get you flagged?

The honest Reddit answer: the bad ones will. Membean’s teacher report shows minutes, accuracy and sessions that do not look like reading. A bot that answers the instant each question renders produces exactly that session. A bot that waits a believable amount of time and misses a believable number of questions produces a session that looks like yours.

There is a second risk the threads flag, and it has nothing to do with Membean: giving your login to a stranger, or running a script from a repo you did not read. Keep your credentials to yourself and install from the Chrome Web Store, where the listing, the developer and the update history are public.

Membean Bot Reddit FAQ

What is the best Membean bot on Reddit? In 2026 the threads recommend maintained Chrome extensions over scripts, and MemGenie is the one they name: it reads the screen, lets you set accuracy and an answer delay, types spelling answers, covers quizzes, and is updated when Membean changes.

Do the GitHub Membean bots still work? Usually not for long. They parse Membean’s page code, which changes, and they answer at machine speed, which gets flagged. Most repos linked from Reddit have an open “not working” issue.

Is there a free Membean bot? MemGenie’s free plan highlights the correct answer a set number of times a day with no card. Free scripts exist but are unmaintained and have no pacing controls.

Can a Membean bot do quizzes? Most cannot. MemGenie shows the verified quiz answer when you hover a question, without putting a panel inside the quiz.

Is a Membean bot safe? A bot from the Chrome Web Store that runs in your own browser is as safe as any extension. Bots sold over Discord that ask for your Membean login are the scam category in every thread.

How fast should a Membean bot answer? No faster than you could read the sentence. MemGenie’s 5, 10 and 15 second delays exist because answer time is part of what Membean records.
